Kon Concept Art (Late 2023)
These designs marked the start of my digital art journey. I begun drawing everyday so that I could post my works daily on social media and gain some recognition so I can release my biggest project, a graphic novel series.

A year before starting my digital art journey, I created these portraits for a class project. We were making a small game, and these were supposed to serve as dialogue portraits, but the project didn't go so far.

The Start of Kid/Young Kon (Late 2021)
The very first sketches of Kon. His hair is less spikier than the recent renditions. I felt that I had to exaggerate his hairstyle for him to stick out more. He serves as the main character of the series, and his short sleeves and shorts was meant to reflect his childish nature. However, I've given him a long sleeved sweater when he got older to represent suppression and isolation after a certain 'incident'.

I wanted to try a slightly different art style because I felt that my art style was too organized. I ended up trying out messier outlines and realized I was more fond of it than my smooth outlines.

TRIGGER WARNING
The next works contain disturbing images and harsh colors.
These pieces heavily contrast the usual bright and vivid color art style. My goal was to capture certain emotions such as anxiety, fear, as well as others. I purposely used heavily saturated and bright colors to hurt the audiences' eyes because these feelings and emotions hurt, and so having harsh colors and dark contrasts is supposed to reflect that. These pieces are a combination of 'weirdcore' and 'analog horror'.
